Where did the bunnies go ?

E.T. Windups

Yes, there have been "some" licensed toys made for the ET movies in 1982. Here are two carded specimens. It seems that the old portuguese colony of Macao was the center of cheap plastic toy production at that time...

Going home ?

E.T. plush, ?, China, 2010's

Put your sweater on ! It's just plain cold in space !

E.T. for you, E.T. for me !

E.T. keyanger, ?, HK ?, 1982

This little fellow is definitely one of the most bootlegged toys I have in my collection. With Lucas making millions, I never quite understood why Spielberg did not follow his lead regarding royalties on copyrighted items... The number of E.T. toys made in the 80ies is quite astonishing...

E.T., ?, HK ?, 1982

E.T. with teeth, ?, HK ?, 1982

E.T. with lighting eyes, ?, HK ?, 1982

Spielberg Candy

Did our favorite Alien switch of candy-maker ? Wasn't he supposed to like M&M's ? Strange...

Smile, the world is better with a smile !

E.T. plush, Kamar, Korea,
1982 (with E.T. button !)

Love the beany bag look on this alien ! Before the craze even existed ! It has a really naive look to it, especially for an officialy licensed product !

It's father's day !

E.L.L.I.O.T.T.

ET, bootleg and LJN figurine,
USA, 1982

Who did not cry when Spielberg came out with his fantastic movie in 1982 ? E.T. became a household name for the worl over and started a real E.T. mania. There were stickers, plush toys, glow in the dark fingers for halloween... No kid could live without him, at least not until the next box-office success !
