No markings on these littel cars of about 7.5 cm each, except that they have a metal clockwork motor, wheels and chassis marked : MADE IN GT BRITAIN. Because of the pegs on the side they surely had some kind of track to run on. Anybody has more information about date ? Manufacturer ?
I've seen them twice Geoff, but never two the same, they previously being pairs of opposite doorways (in fact, make that three times I've seen them?), I too asked for more and err . . . got nought!

ReplyDeleteThanks Hugh - it may be early MINIC but didn't they tend to put their logo on the toys they made ? The clockwork mechanism is really nice and smooth. I just love the 2-tone "paintjob" (well, "plasticjob") they did on these...

ReplyDeleteThat's a beauty Hugh ! Triang toys (including Minic) tend to appear here in Portugal from time to time (together with the Dinky's and other British toys... I'll keep my eyes open !
